Keeneland Opening Weekend
 

anyone going next weekend? should be in the area on saturday and sunday with sunday being spent at the track...will be my first fall meet experience at keeneland...did a spring opener last year and had a blast

Wife and I will be there on Saturday. Last minute thing so all the good seats on their site are sold out.

We have never been there for live racing, are those prices ($40+ a ticket) worth it? I just don't know what to expect

I've only had seats at Keeneland when someone gave them to me. I spend most of my time in the paddock, anyway, and the rest at the window or watching the race from whatever vantage point I find. In my opinion, don't spend the money on seats -- you'll have more to wager.

I'll be there. Should be a great time.

Purchased tickets for fall meet opening week end last year at the last moment. Their site said sold out but I called the Keeneland ticket office and even got seating in the section I wanted. Also there were alot of empty seats. Go figure

i concur with everyone else who said seats aren't necessary unless your old and frail (no offense)...lots of good vantage points in the general admission
