I don't know why Creative Cause was dull in the Del Mar Futurity. Nobody likes to blame jocks, but Bejarano was so out of sync at the close of the Del Mar Meet. Seeing him romp today (like he was expected to do in the Del Mar futurity) I just think Bejarano had zero confidence in himself, and he didn't get the horse to relax that lil bit that is necessary for this horse to blast home. He looked better today than he did in his win at Del Mar, too. So, he probably didn't like Del Mar track that much. That probably was more evident going 7f. Drill was also supposed to like Anita way more than Del Mar. That wasn't as big an effort as Baffert was expecting.

Got to give credit where due to Zazu and Ultra Blend. Fine performances by both. |
And Awesome Gem . . . he just keeps on coming. I know he finished second, but still
:tro: :D |
Blind Luck ran a compete and utter non-effort. A performance like that has nothing to do with the track.

What are the odds that Creative Cause will be sold to Godolphin or Darley by the end of the week, shipped to Dubai and never seen again?

Why wouldnt he?

Think about who the sire of the horse is.

no doubt there are some very serious offers for creative cause. but sheik mo won't be calling. and i agree with hossy as to why.
hopefully blind luck bounces back after that complete non-effort. but i have to wonder if they plan on the bc all things considered. |

That, and they are bitter rivals with the people who stand Giants Causeway. |

I never thought she was going to run at Del Mar so I didn't think she missed a start there. When they brought her back so early in the winter, I didn't ike it because I felt there was no way she ran throughout the year. She was going to have to take a break and it was going to come in the summer. With her having won at Delaware before and a big money race there she wasnt missing that. With Hollendorfer not wanting to face the boys, his talk about possibly going in the Pacific Classic was just talk. I thought it was the perfect time to take a break. Today was unusual. Perhaps you guys are right and the writing was on the wall but I just think it was a bad day.
