10:15 AM still no rain and latest update from Belmont is still a go for turf races today...keep an eye on radar!
|
Just spoke to Gary, as of now race is still ON turf. He will scratch though if the race comes off.

Would have liked to have held third there, but otherwise, that was OK..
Talked to Gary briefly and will have more soon. He was happy with Pal's effort. less so with Edgar's. |
Thanks, Steve. Yes, it looked like he might have held third with a better trip, but the top two were out of reach anyway.
When you have time, Pal's "action" looks a little odd to me. Every third or fourth step he seems to dip and looks like he might go down on his head. Is that my imagination? In any event, proud of the colt's effort. Better days to come, I am sure. -- Dan Quote:

watched surreptitiously from work, from what could see not a bad effort - a little green, so there's lessons to be learned and glad he got the chance on the grass today - hope Pal comes back and checks out a-okay - thanks to Team Dee Tee for their endeavors!
