I would. What's the over/under on races left in him 2.5?

smartbid09 09-11-2011 04:47 PM

Why do you ask? Is there a rumor?

pweizer 09-11-2011 05:03 PM

I heard they sold half interest for one million.

Paul

hockey2315 09-11-2011 05:03 PM

Ya - supposedly Kimmel's half. Gindi didn't want to sell.

Mawhip 09-14-2011 01:00 AM

Sale fell apart.

i already told you that he is long and sturdy. He's goes so smoothly that he will stay sound. best thing that coulda happened to Kimmel if the sale fell through.

Linny 09-14-2011 07:55 AM

Ever heard the phrase "The exception proves the rule"?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 16, 2011

Frank Stronach Purchases Fire On Ice

Frank Stronach has purchased 2-year-old sensation, Fire On Ice. The Unbridled’s Song colt out of the Storm Cat mare Lost In The Storm was arguably the most impressive winner of the 2011 Saratoga meet, winning his debut by 10 ¾ lengths.

John Kimmel, who will remain as trainer said “We’ll go through years and years and years without coming up with a horse who breaks his maiden like that,” said Kimmel. “I would say there is no place to run next other than in the Champagne S. [G1].”

“Fire On Ice is an exciting racehorse with great talent. He has the potential to become a champion racehorse, and with that, earn the right to join the stallion roster at Adena Springs,” said Frank Stronach.

Mike Rogers, Adena Springs’ racing manager, said “Mr. Stronach remains very passionate about racing. The purchase of this colt, along with the select yearlings purchased at Saratoga and Keeneland, underscore Mr. Stronach’s commitment to the industry as well as his desire to maintain and develop his world class stallion roster. We are very optimistic about the future of our program and these additions will complement our exciting group of homebreds already in training.”

I can't stop laughing.

I took the "we" as his barn--not all barns.

Probably was what he meant.

Trainers are pretty fixated on their own barn and their own horses.

A lot of pretty good horse trainers have made poor analysts and brutal on-air handicappers.

I didn't even think his win was all that special.

At least like it's being made out to be, that is.

I agree. I don't like him at all going forward.

He'll probably win the Triple Crown.

I wonder what what they thought about McLeans Music debut?

OldDog 09-30-2011 07:38 AM
