Delahoussaye portion of Gill/PNRC case ends with interesting reccos

Former Penn National Race Course trainer won't see jail time
By MATT MILLER, The Patriot-News

A former horse trainer at Penn National Race Course charged with illegally doping his steeds with Red Bull-based “milk shakes” and other performance-enhancing stimulants won’t be going to jail. Darrel Delahoussaye won’t be training racehorses in Pennsylvania anymore, either.

And the Dauphin County investigation that led to his arrest — while it is not expected to result in more charges — could have repercussions in Pennsylvania’s horse racing world far beyond the Delahoussaye case.

Suggest reading the whole piece. The wake of Michael Gill seems endless..

Reccos include extending Racing Commission authority to training facilities, as well as further investigations of Anthony Adamo and Stephanie Beattie.

i can't believe there won't be criminal charges filed. hell, not even cruelty charges?
and i also can't believe that it hasn't been suggested til now that gift-giving be stopped. that should have never been started.

Delahoussaye, 48, of Harrisburg, has been admitted into the county’s accelerated rehabilitative disposition program by Judge Deborah Essis Curcillo.

I hope they don't seriously think that this is going to really change anything. The genius investigators are more concerned with beer on the backstretch than anything. This way they can puff out their chests and bully the little people and let the guys winning 47% with magic ice go on with business as usual.

Delahoussaye is a POS. The death penalty would have been too good for him.
