Former Penn National Race Course trainer won't see jail time
By MATT MILLER, The Patriot-News A former horse trainer at Penn National Race Course charged with illegally doping his steeds with Red Bull-based “milk shakes” and other performance-enhancing stimulants won’t be going to jail. Darrel Delahoussaye won’t be training racehorses in Pennsylvania anymore, either. And the Dauphin County investigation that led to his arrest — while it is not expected to result in more charges — could have repercussions in Pennsylvania’s horse racing world far beyond the Delahoussaye case. i can't believe there won't be criminal charges filed. hell, not even cruelty charges?
and i also can't believe that it hasn't been suggested til now that gift-giving be stopped. that should have never been started. |
Delahoussaye, 48, of Harrisburg, has been admitted into the county’s accelerated rehabilitative disposition program by Judge Deborah Essis Curcillo.
