This monster doesn't deserve a thread here or anywhere but I'm glad to see Texas has finally brought this pervert to justice. With any luck, he'll never again see the light of day. The sad thing is the degree of mind control he has over his followers, hopefully this cult will now fall apart but that seems unlikely....the government's work is far from done, the authorities must protect the children and bring others guilty of unspeakable abuses to justice. Lets see if other states have the guts to follow Texas' lead.

Not sad at all, this part of the board is designated for politics/society so folks here freely express their opinions. I can only speak for myself but I am quite aware that public discourse isn't likely to "solve" the world's problems. Debating politics is one way of staying informed, doesn't imply that I think my ideas are sage.

somer, i 100% agree that debating is staying informed, but for this particular thread, on this particular subject, no one needed to inject muslims and pakistanis. this, to me, was more of a societal thread, put out early in the morning, and someone hadn't got the chance to blame the pissy taste of their cornflakes on obama yet.
