Pletcher/Gomez Combo at 35% in 2005-2006

The Pletcher/Gomez combo has won at the astounding rate of 35% in 2005 and 206 combined. That is unbelievable. If you would have bet on every one of these horses, you would have a huge profit. You would have made over 50% on your money.

The Pletcher/Velasquez combo has won at a 28% rate over the same period. However, if you bet on every one of these horses you would have lost 5% on your money. That's actually not bad. If you threw darts you would lose 15%.

Fantastic ride by Gomez.
Taken up with patience, felt the pace coming into the far turn, started to move around far turn, saw he was going to get crushed, held up just a moment without ruining the momentum of the horse and then followed Carriage Trial. Cut nicely outside of the pack at the proper spot with plenty of horse and wins going away.

Very well done. Excellent.

And none of this oh well he was riding chalk stuff. This race was up for grabs.

My comments on the only ride I saw. The 7th at Belmont. A really nice job on the turf. It was a pleasure to see this executed so well. I had nothing on the horse, it was just done so well.

He's a good rider. And I like his energy.

Thats funny, everyone said he would run home to california now all the jocks are just prayin he leaves. The ESPN board was full of haters and now JV the golden boy of NY doesn't look so untouchable anymore. I wonder when the last time a jock came for a full NY meet there 1st one (much less saratoga) and was in the top 3 anyone know? I know a few years back Nakatani tryed and as we all know he is back in Cali

I don't think Nakatani ever tried to ride there full-time. He may have gone back there for a short period but I don't think he ever planned on staying there.

these numbers are bogus. they mean nothing in that they are past tense. you may as well play quick draw. if you have a legitimate angle, state your case. i don't see one now.
