Minnesota: government shut down of state today
 

Due to political impasse, the state of Minnesota will be shutting down today unless agreement can be reached on a 5 billion budget deficit.

They have already started closing highway rest stops along the interstates, employees have been told they will be furloughed. Minimal care will still be provided to those residing in state run nursing homes. Fourth of July camping in state parks, recreation on state lakes, etc. will be halted (closed).

They have until midnight to figure it out.
