Fan seeks to relocate Noor's remains as condo construction looms
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...4665424.column
A woman named Charlotte Farmer is trying to raise $5000 to move Noor's remains from Loma Rica Ranch to Old Friends in KY. He not only beat Citation 4 times, he beat Assault so that's 2 TC winners right there, pre-Exceller. I noticed that Hill Prince got both Champion 3yo and Champion Handicap horse in 1950. I guess it wasn't just for older horses. Given Noor's accomplishments that year, would he have pulled off the Champion Older Male? I'm not sure where anybody can donate, but there's a link to Bill Dwyre's email at the bottom. He could probably help direct you. I'm not sure how soon they plan on starting the condos. There was a remark in the article that Hollywood Park wasn't a suitable burial site because it could succumb to developers even before Loma Rica. The point is that Noor deserves a better resting place asap. |
I sent an email asking how we can donate. Once I get a response I'll post it.
Donating a few dollars feels like the right thing to do. |
