Judge strikes down Wisconsin union busting bill

Judge strikes down Wisconsin union busting bill, citing the Republicans did violate the open meetings act.

The GOP simply has had to repass this bill normally. It is suspected that has not been done, because Walker no longer has the votes to pass it.

and oddly enough a motion was filed to vacate the ruling because "State Justice Department attorneys asked the justices on Friday to immediately vacate Sumi’s decision. They argue Sumi issued the decision completely on her own, didn’t offer anyone an opportunity to be heard and didn't consider whether striking down the law was the proper remedy."

Yeah, doubtful that would happen. A bill can't come out of an illegally held meeting. They are literally asking the judge to ignore her own decision and reverse herself - LOL They also asked the judge not to impose the penalty for them breaking the law on them, but just on future violators :D

All they have to do is repass the law. They are not doing that. Why? Why are they spending thousands and thousands of Wisconsins dollars on an effort to defend a law that was passed illegally? Why don't they just pass it again legally and make everything moot?

There's a reason they are not just trying to pass it again (and it even needs less votes, as it's not a financial bill) - why is that?

Why are they going to try and attach it to a budget bill to get it to pass?

Almost :D I'm not at home, so when I read when he's signed in with his own name, and then grab the computer and answer, have to delete it and change it back to me. Or explain it's me.

But there will be pirates tonight, of the Caribbean, after dinner! ARG!
