the insult/you started it thread

here, for anyone so minded. when someone puts something in a thread and you wish to dig, rather than stay on track, insert your off topic comments here.

insults, snide remarks, accusations, questions about intellectual ability, iq taunts, name calling, your mother wears combat boots....

just put them all here. keep the clutter out of the way.

There is an ignore function, right? The same 5 people have been having the same conversation in this room for 6 months. The fights are the only thing worth looking at.

i have one person on ignore-it doesn't work very well when everyone quotes everyone else tho....

all i know is i got home at days end and had to scroll and scan looking for worthwhile stuff in that thread, and wanted to make a post. if this is how this room is always going to be, i guess the room title needs to change from poli/soc to you're stupid/no you are.
i come here for good discussion-i can have worthless discussions with people proving they're not very smart at work.

You come to the politics room at DT for good discussion?

I used to wonder how some people had a history of several thousand posts, yet I hardly ever saw any of their posts in the racing-related forums. Then I stumbled across the politics forum, and the riddle was solved.

sometimes it happens-but it inevitably becomes unravelled. a lot of people with good things to say and good points to make quit showing up to add their opinions-i'm pretty sure of why they stopped.

it's funny, i rarely look at the number of posts someone makes-unless it's a name i don't recognize at all and they're making a really provocative post.

sometimes the horse room is a big draw, sometimes it's the political...i'm feeling a real lack of excitement about this years derby, so i haven't been up there much. seems a lot of traffic died off with a few horses' retirements!

i'm confused. what is this "racing related" forum of which you speak?
