Sorry - I did put "potential" afterlife since none of us know for certain if it's there or not.

How about: today his body is a barely-recognizable bloated, half-gone waterlogged mess, a mile under the ocean, scraping along on the bottom of the sea, being picked apart by crabs and fish. No virgins. No afterlife. No god. No hell. No martyrdom.
