DERBY 137: Factor & Gusto demure; Shackleford & Twinspired move in

The Factor, who underwent a myectomy recently after displacing his palate in the Arkansas Derby (gr. I), is no longer under consideration for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), said co-owner George Bolton.

“Bob (Baffert) feels he’s not ready for a race like the Derby, and to be honest, I’m relieved," he said. "We have big plans for this horse and it’s a long year.”

I still think there's a decent chance he and Silver Medallion still get in.
Although, I'm not sure how Silver Medallion will come out of the Lexington, but I'm sure his connections want to send him regardless.

In blogs in general and through the years people accused of him of running them to the ground

Are the top 20 earners a definite or are there any questionables among them?

The current Top 20 are now as 'definite' as you can be when dealing with an animal. But in other words, there are no decisions identifiable as 'pending' among them.. Injury, illness or change of heart would be the factors at this point should any other demure.

Eoin Harty has booked a flight for next Tuesday for ANTHONY'S CROSS should the situation arise which gains him a spot in Derby 137.

Very excited for the Shack. I now get to have some very good seats for the Derby. A once in a lifetime opportunity - and I am very grateful. (My wifes uncle who owned half of Rachel also owns Shackleford.)

Happy for you, and looking forward to seeing you out here!

Master of Hounds may not come. TTimes says he's still being considered for a run against Frankel in the Guineas

That would be terrible-would rather see MOH instead of Silver Medallion(who looked terrible and would be running 3 times in a month)
