I think I have a blood clot in right calf...

If I stop posting for about a week without starting another retirement thread ... just go ahead and put me in the Angles thread.

Kind of a weird tingle sensation in my right calf. Might be a false alarm - but no way I'm going to the doctor.

Some quack doctor once scared the crap out of me by telling me he suspected a blood clot in my leg. I went to him because I had a lump in my calf that I feared could be a tumor - one of my brothers had a benign tumor in about the same spot. I seldom go to the doctor unless it is for a very good reason.

The inside of the ankle on that leg stays pretty swollen most of the time because of the way I walk. I told this doc about my ankle and he immediately thought the lump could be a blood clot. He sent me to get an ultrasound, which was normal. When I went back to see him to determine what the next step was, he got pissed because he thought I was questioning his judgment. He has a history of mental problems and proceeded to have a freaking nervous breakdown in the office. He then told me that if the lump was cancer, it would have killed me. Then he pulled the cover his ass move by insisting that I get a MRI to "make myself feel better." I told him the MRI was to make himself feel better. I ended up getting the MRI, which cost about $600, took two hours, and was normal. Years later a doctor who deals with sports injuries told me at a party that the lump was probably a herniated muscle and the doctor was a dumbass for not referring me to a specialist.

It is probably nothing and you probably are better off not going to a doctor. But if your calf feels hot and is swollen, go to an ER and get an ultrasound.

Hey numbnut :)

Try eating a banana or three. Better yet, maybe a couple of Vita-Cocos (potassium). If that doesn't work, maybe try some magnesium oil (topically). In lieu of spending $20 on that, maybe soak your leg in hot water with lots of epsom salts (another form of magnesium).

You could always amputate it too. ;)

I forgot to add that you should try soaking your head for 20 minutes in that Epsom salt bath.

Some people use epsom salt baths to reduce swelling, among other things.

Don't forget who you are talking to.
You should probably be as specific as possible when describing certain body parts.........................

Good point.

Druggie, I meant your head as in the body part you breathe through.

Which pool? Natural cause, accident, crime victim, or suicide?
