I somehow missed the race, but saw Gran Lioness' Beyer and assumed Arienza had lost. Looks like she'd scratched from that race and is going in a two turn allowance today. http://www.drf.com/blogs/oaklawn-countdown-arienza-0

yeah, they entered her in case the allowance/oc carded for today didn't fill. they wanted a two turn race for her, but not in stakes company. they had an article in the paper here yesterday about it.

Plum pretty looked pretty good.

There's no way that Plum Pretty is as good as she looked vs. those hopeless horses.

Sure does take a lot to be a New Mexican bred Derby winner .... worst part is that I think the figures might be 4 or 5 points too high in those Sunland routes yesterday. That number could be as low as a 51 or 52.

The horse racing columnist for Sports Illustrated who ranked Pepper's Pride in the top 20 horses to race last decade - he might think this one is Ky Derby material.

How'd she look? I have no idea what Beyers she's been pulling in.

I agree the company was pathetic but she still looked pretty damn strong.

Does anyone know what number Arienza received on Sunday at Oaklawn?
Thanks
