ATR REMINDER: 12-3pm next 2 weeks!

Programming reminder that ATR will be 12-3p for the next 4 weeks..

Just heard from New York, and it appears we will only be running 12-3p for 2 weeks now, returning to 9a-12p on March 21st...

herkhorse 03-07-2011 07:21 AM

12-3? Is that so it will be easier for them to preempt the show for college basketball?

geeker2 03-07-2011 07:46 AM

Back to live race handicapping :tro:

LOL.. Actually they promised to use 126 & 243 for the West Coast games so we wouldn't get pre-empted. But the funny thing is I enjoyed getting those first 2 days of the Tourney off and it usually was the weekend of the Spriral-Jim Beam-Furniture Gallery.com Stakes, so we weren't missing any important preps.

They're trying to figure that out. I'm guessing either 6-9p, 9-12p or 12-3a ET.

This all came about on very short notice after they closed the deal for rights to the Cricket World Cup last week, so a lot of this is happening on the fly...

It's a good gambit by the network. The market living in North America that follows cricket is enormous if you think India, Pakistan, UK, Aussie-Kiwi, West Indies, etc., and where else are they going to find live coverage of this World Cup? If they're marketing it correctly to those consumers, it's something cricket followers will subscribe to SiriusXM to get..

herkhorse 03-07-2011 08:25 AM

Anything is better than listening to TVG on the radio.

pweizer 03-07-2011 08:37 AM

At this rate, the show will be back to 4-7 in no time...

Paul

How are they supposed to do this? Send advertisements by mail to all the bodegas?

Coach you would be really surprised. I have met people to wager enormous amounts on Cricket.

Steve I would venture to say Satish might be busy this week watching

I know Freddy. They're still not above ridicule.

Do they put a cap on the length of a cricket match for the World Cup, or could one of these things theoretically last an entire week?
