Not again!

Friesan Fire is entered in an optional claimer at FG on 3/5.

What's the point?

Rudeboyelvis 02-28-2011 10:11 PM

To show Gormet Dinner where he'll be running in 2 years?

The Indomitable DrugS 02-28-2011 10:13 PM

And in other news...

Former Belmont Stakes winner Da Tara is back in training.

RolloTomasi 02-28-2011 10:51 PM

I blame Square Eddie.

Yeah yeah.

FF was at least a decent horse.

Who is the best?

FF, GD, DT or SE?

Or THAS?

Personally, I'd take UM over all of them.

Coach Pants 03-01-2011 12:22 AM

Gourmet Dinner doesn't deserve the ridicule. At least they are running the f.ucking horse. And that's more that I can say about most of the s.hitheels that have competitive 3 year olds nowadays.

Indian Charlie 03-01-2011 12:36 AM

I didn't ridicule GD!

I assure you, the target of my ridicule was not GD at all.

Nor was it FF, or even DT.

It wasn't even THAS.

Yes.

He was a decent horse with physical issues.

I'm not making him out to be an all time great or anything, but that horse did have some ability and was clearly not the same once they ran him hurt.

He won with perfect trips and didn't win when he didn't have every advantage. Very overrated.

He was the 7:2 favorite in the 2009 KY Derby. Unbelievable.

As overhyped as they come.

Like many of the Fair Grounds Derby Trail horses I always seem to attach myself to that never seem to do anything.

Don't forget, we are talking about the 2009 Derby here.

He was definitely unsound going into the race as well.
