If ObamaCare is so great?

1)Why are so many unions including those who gave just short of $28 million for Obama's '08 campaign applying for waivers to get out?

2)Why if Obama really does feel his way is best, is allowing waivers to be handed out in the first place and especially to his most loyal supporters?

He really thinks the American public is too stupid to see through his plan?

1) It was all discussed during the months of debate.

2) It's called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

3) Why don't you ask the GOP (it's essentially their plan from a few years back) or Mitt Romney? (who has had virtually the same thing up and running for the past four years in Massachusetts)

Wow that response is akin to Obama answering 'the Cubs' when asked who his favorite Sox player was?

Glad I don't have to get Obamacare. The majority of the American public didn't want it. Yet Obama, The witch of DC Pelosi, and Reid shoved it down the Senate and House because the Democrats had the numbers in thier favor. Hope the Democrats enjoyed thier numbers and maybe learned from the great defeat they had in Nov when American spoke and wanted change.

Only for those that think they are watching the Sox while sitting in Wrigley ;)

The rest of the world talked about this back during the healthcare debate.

I'm quite happy to keep paying for your government healthcare. You deserve it.

And Nascar, now that the provisions are kicking in, yes, the majority of Americans not only want to keep it, they want it made better.

I earned my healthcare. Im not going to be getting a handout like other people are going to be getting with this Obamacare. I could care less if people hate the healthcare that I HAVE EARNED that they don't have. I also pay taxes.

What they hate is you trying to prevent them from having the same quality of healthcare as you do. And they pay taxes, too.

You do realize that single payer and the public option did not pass, and are not in the bill, right?

I have no problem with the working people getting this Obamacare. My problem is the unemployed who are not looking for jobs that will more than likely UNDESERVINGLY get this Obamacare at the expense of my taxpaying money. Also I hope the Illegals don't get this Obamacare. Our taxpaying money is wasted on them already. They are already getting free medical care when go to a ER and enter here illegally having a baby here thinking they could become a legal citizen because they gave birth to a child in this country. If you dont like my opinion not my problem. How am I preventing them from having quality healthcare. I didn't vote on Obamacare. If a person wanted great healtcare like I have they should of did 20 years in the military like I did. Lets see how they would like being separated from thier family for six months at a time.

You most obviously have little to no idea what is actually contained in the healthcare law. You are forming opinions on something you clearly don't know anything about.

"Getting Obamacare" - what, exactly, do you mean by that? What are you talking about? There is no "Obamacare plan" to purchase. 100% of health care insurance referenced in the bill is provided by private insurance companies.

raise my hand

How does this affect the guy who just got released from jail for murder after serving less than 10 years and can't find a job thus can't pay?

raise my hand again

What about an illegal up in Chicago who has no insurance gets shot and shows up at an emergency room?

Last time for now

How about an American citizen who refuses to get insured, pays the penalty and is shot by the illegal above after he gets released, from the hospital, for cab fare?

I got a million more at least.

Repeal Now!!!!!

Since Massachusetts has had "virtually the same thing up and running" for 4 years, I'd like to answer you Dell.

1. The jobless ex-inmate will be covered by either MassHealth (if he is getting welfare or under 19) or Commonwealth Care (if he is over 19 but low or no income). Both of which are paid by the Massachusetts taxpayer.

2. The illegal's bill will be covered by Healthnet (= the Mass taxpayer).

3. The Massachusetts citizen will be fined for not having health insurance.

What these 4 years of mandatory health insurance have provided for the working taxpayer in Massachusetts is higher taxes.
Taxes have increased (sales tax was increased by 1.25%) and property taxes have increased due to budget cuts to towns. The state needs more money to cover MassHealth, Commonwealth Care, and Healthnet.

I heard Massachusetts is also called Taxachusetts. Is that true. That is what is f cked with this country. The worthless undeserving illegals get more that a legal deserves to get.

He's not insured. Unless he qualifies for Medicare.

Illegals are specifically not covered under the PPACA. So ask the hospital how much charity they give (hospitals do ship patients around)

As you know, because you've been told before but you chose to ignore it, there is no penalty to actually pay in the PPACA.

It would be so helpful, if those here who just hate "Obamacare", took a little time to find out something about it. You know, so you could hate something that actually exists. Even though it's so much easier to not bother.

That's ridiculous hate talk. Poor you, poor little victim you. Grow a pair and get real. You have free lifetime medical care from your government that I - and illegals - help pay for. Illegals don't get that. You will eventually get social security. Illegals don't get that - even if they do pay into the system for years. What f cked this country is hate like yours. And what's continuing to do it is appalling ignorance.

I missed the exclusion for ER visits? Why because it doesn't exist? Otherwise status quo except it f's anyone paying and benefits anyone not!

REPEAL NOW!

Even the people who live in Massachusetts call it Taxachusetts. It's not hateful; it's factual. A pension and medical care are BENEFITS given by the government for people sign up for 20 years in the military. It's not welfare. Sure, the taxpayers pay for it the same way they pay for pensions for retired politicians.

Jeez, Riot, everyone who disagrees with you is hateful?
