Doesn't seem long ago when Our Friend Harvey ran pretty well against some good company. Even deduced to this bunch, I can't swallow the short price that he'll be.

Best of luck Steve-O!!

You're right. They changed it to info misprinted in the program (They had Eddier Plesa Sr. listed as trainer instead of Jr.)

Plesa was on ATR today.

Duvalier 01-12-2011 12:37 PM

Good luck today

Yup. I've got a rare DBL ticket going to him. If he keeps coming down, won't need to bet him to win at all.

Nice hit in the 7th. Steve.

Thx! Made up for earlier missteps. Likely wouldn't have bet like I did if I hadn't had Plesa on the show today. He and Mrs. Weber thought that colt was going to be OK, and the light came on for him last time.

Gulfstream: Front runners really struggling in the wind
By Mike Welsch

Front runners have struggled all day running into a stiff headwind down the backstretch with nary a single wire to wire main track winner on the card. Horses stalking and racing off the rail have dominated the proceedings, the most recent example the 7-1 Chateau D'Kim in the seventh race, the latter making a nice winning run three wide off a contested pace to end this one turning for home. Speed horses perhaps worth playing back next time include The Pia Angel, a game second in the opener and Weekend Wildcat who faltered late after showing the way for five furlongs in the fifth race.

Kasept 01-12-2011 03:31 PM

That hurt.. I mean really hurt. Ooof.

Carryover goes to $31,500...

BUT the handful of winning 6 of 6 plays get back a robust $5,370!...

One is now considered a handful?

blackthroatedwind 01-12-2011 04:58 PM

The whole thing doesn't make sense. $22K was bet today.....was there one 5? Else how could there have been more than one winning 6 of 6....which would have gotten the carryover.

I'm confused. Anyone?

blackthroatedwind 01-12-2011 05:13 PM

The big mystery is solved.....20% takeout.....40% goes to the carryover and 60% goes to the winners....which in this case were TWO.
