It's a dangerous storm. I can only hope Sciacca finds shelter in time.

It is, naturally, NYRA's fault for the storm coming on a Wednesday, and not on a dark day.

Now now, they did get off lucky with the Dec 26th storm.

PHA (PRX?) has cancelled for Wed. Without the detention barn, NY has more options to wait it out and see what the weather brings by raceday. Grening's DRF article has a subhead about the "feature" that starts with "If a forecasted snowstorm doesn't cancel Wednesday's card..."

I give a 50/50 chance on no racing Thursday as well. Queens looks to be in my snow bullseye of 15-20 inches with higher drifts....I will keep you posted. Should get down to 975 mb on this low pressure outside of Long Island. There will be blood.

Due to expected snowfall and winds, Aqueduct Racetrack will not have live racing on Wednesday, January 12. NYRA Rewards telebet and internet wagering will be available, with a decision on whether or not Aqueduct and the Belmont Café will be open for simulcasting to come Wednesday morning.

A decision on Thursday's card will also be made tomorrow.
