Weather may factor in heavily

Starting to rain now, we ain't gonna miss the rain like some had predicted or hoped. By the time they run the grade ones its gonna be wet.

No, its not yet. I really wish this thinig would just kick 5 miles west, thats all it would take, saratoga is right on the very edge of the storm. Where Steve lives in Greenwich, they may not even get a drop.

that 's too bad--just got home a while ago and the sun is out here.

It's so maddening, if you watch the doppler radar you can see that its projected to be right on the edge of Saratoga. Just a little push to the west and it would miss us completely. Its very frustrating because you wanna see Grade One's conducted on a fast surface and really get an idea of who is better than who. I just don't think that off track races(especially conducted on the stupid sealed surfaces that now are the staple on wet track days) prove a whole lot.

The weather will be fine. Stick to picking horses and let the weather people give us the weather.

irony of the day...gives a weather prediction, but wants the weather people to let us know that!

No weather prediction from me. The prediction is from the weather channel.

For those of you in other parts of the country ...

... it has been raining virtualy unceasingly in the New York area for the past ten days ... making it seem more like Hyderabad than Hackensack.

I'm surprised that ... 170 miles to the north .... Saratoga hasn't gotten nearly as much.

Rain, rain ... go awaaaaaaaay !

And hardly atypical for that fellow forum member ... but ...

... if you fancy yourself as Nostradamus ... you probably feel an inner urge to make predictions of any and all kinds.

send it down here, we're still behind for the year....and it stinks when the grass is brown, dust everwhere, and you see a rain cloud to the north dumping out it's contents, and nothing for you! so i'm really not so surprised. looks like the rain god is a fan of racing! or the racing god has a pic of him and a goat....

I live on Long Island and it has not been that bad. Light rain. I was at Belmont Thursday and Friday morning and the track was fast both days. There were hundreds of horses out yesterday morning.

Thank God the horses are coming home to the best track in the world. :)

No go

Given the way my Saratoga meet has been going and given the weather i am putting myself on pony probation for the day.

Enjoy everyone....
