Love 'em or Hate'em........Wikileaks reveals all...

Dosen't this just prove wikileaks is unreliable?

Or was everyone who said the Iraq war was Bush's personal war and he knew there were no WMD's, wrong?

My memory is foggy but didn't Bush admit to having incorrect information??? Why would he do that if it was a "slam dunk"?

My opinion is that he did so for the good of the country. He couldn't beat the drum without support.

?? Wikileaks doesn't say they are wrong. One blogger Jim Kouri says they are wrong, but he doesn't post the documents that "prove" it. Let's see those.

Of course some documents "mention WMD" - we knew that years ago. That's public information. That is why Bush went to war in the first place!

You can stay "empirical" if you want, but logic says the WMDs went to Syria.

Well, measurable reality is a pretty good thing when you are going to be the aggressor and invade a country, and be responsible for the deaths of thousands of your countrymen and theirs.

We know Bush got cables saying there were WMD, that's one of the reasons why he justified going to war. Even Bush says the cables were wrong.

That's the mantle the US wears, like it or not

It's almost always a mistake to think you can help people to free themselves from a bad leader, or a bad group of leaders. The people of the country are usually messed up (to begin with,) and the horrible leaders are simply a symptom of that. We've tried to do this twice over there, and it hasn't worked, because the people in the 2 countries are rotten. You can protect yourself (or other countries) by knocking out bad leaders, but you won't fix the people that allowed that leader to take hold. The only reason it worked in Germany and Japan is because a significant portion of their male populations were destroyed. So, if one of the reasons Bush went into these countries was to "free" them, then, I think that was a poor decision.
