Interesting race.. The Godolphin horse could be moving on to bigger and better things, Indesatchel loves soft ground, manduro usually finds a few too good and Irridesence, if fit, will take a huge hand in it - interesting that they want to contest the Arc and shes running in a G1 over 8f...

The older horses have been destroying the younger horses this year, but there is a few decent 3yos here.I think Quiet Royal has the best chance..

You don't need a week.....

Only one horse can beat Librettist and he's been ruled out. :p

my miss storm cat 09-03-2006 10:44 AM

He won!!!

From Racing post...

Librettist and Frankie dominate in the Moulin  :)

by PA Sport Staff

LIBRETTIST made virtually all the running in the hands of Frankie Dettori to win the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp this afternoon.
The Saeed bin Suroor-trained four-year-old followed up last month's win in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville to land his seventh race from eight career starts.

Librettist was all out to hold the strong late challenges of Stormy River and Manduro to lift the Group 1 race over a mile, with Kieren Fallon's mount Aussie Rules, trained by Aidan O'Brien, fourth.
Dettori had his mount smartly away from the stalls and wassoon in front from Irridescence.
Although Librettist was never more than two lengths in front, Dettori was always in control and quickened the tempo as the eight-strong field hit the straight.

Stormy River was the first to lay down a bid but Librettist always looked like holding him and was half a length clear at the line.

Manduro finished strongly for Christophe Soumillon and was the same distance away in third.

Order of finish.....

1. Librettist
2. Stormy River
3. Manduro
4. Aussie Rules
5. Irridescence
6. Kentucky Dynamite
7. Quiet Royal
8. Indesatchel
