Charlie Rangel

Guy needs to be gone yesterday!

In September......"The statement accurately points out that Rangel and Waters had expressed a desire for an earlier trial date. Even before his successful primary bid on Sept. 14th, Rangel had publicly demanded an immediate and speedy trial that would clear his “name from these vile and vicious charges.”

"I’m not asking for leniency,” said Rangel at one point during his primary campaigning, requesting that the Committee “give me a hearing” on his 13 pending ethics violations.

Now "Rep. Charles Rangel of New York pleaded Thursday for “a drop of fairness and mercy” as he braced for likely punishment for his ethical misdeeds.

The 80-year-old Rangel was convicted Tuesday on 11 counts of violating House rules. He misused his office in fundraising for a college center named after him, set up a campaign office in a subsidized, residential-only apartment unit, made public a decade of misleading financial statements and failed to pay taxes for 17 years on rental income from a beach villa.

Yes, I did. And I think Charlie Rangel is hypocrisy, too. Worse.

Credit where credit is due! :tro::tro:

Looks like all that this hypocrite is going to get is a don't do it again.
If it was one of us we would be in jail for tax evasion. So much for Pelosi and her speech about ethics. If Rangel was a Republican the worthless Democrats
would want him to resign. Hopefully in two more years what is left of the Democrat trash is out.
Reid's day will come someday. Not soon enough.

Rangel would get re-elected from a prison cell! The voters are responsible. I mean irresponsible. The saddest part is I really think in his heart he believes he has done nothing wrong.

Very true. Look at the people who believed in Obama's lies.

Very true. At least I was smart not to buy into his BS. And I'm still not buying into it.

I can't believe no one has asked Obama who he is backing in the chicago mayoral race.

There is no good answer and that is why I suspect the question has not been asked or at least aired. What's he gonna do back a Jewish millionaire who was he chief of staff over a black minister and or the first black female senator (and only one ever)? Let the great people of Chicago know. Who are the Obama's voting for?

dellinger63 11-30-2010 10:00 PM

Old Charlie pays no taxes on rental property income for 17 years and only owes a little over 10K? How about tax EVASION and PENALTIES?

What does he own, a shopping cart? Give me a F'n break!

Sigh. I guess you missed the Washington press conference (Rahm leaving) where Obama said Rahm would make an excellent mayor?

Great I suppose he said the same about Rev Meeks and Carole Mosely Braun. It's amazing how you so thoroughly know Obama speak and are able to take a statement like "Rahm would make an excellent mayor" as an endorsement. It would be a simple question, Mr. President who do you plan on voting for in the Chicago mayoral election? Bet he comes up with a "I like the Cubs too" answer.

No doubt about that.

Geeshus. All I mentioned is that Obama's already came out and said Rahm would make an excellent mayor. Take that for what you will. Or won't. See if Obama gets involved in the election. Or not (I doubt he would)

If you are so desperate to find out who Obama is voting for as mayor, send a note to www.whitehouse.gov and ask :D
