To the college football gurus

Toss me opinions on these. I usually play NFL parlays, but this week college. Bookie cards you know. 4 teams 10 bucks to win 100.

Lou (H) v. KY +23 ( I wanna take KY, they are better this year)
Cal -1 v. Tenn -1 (H) ( Is Cal that good?)
Pitt (H) v. Virgina +4 (like Pitt here)
Bama (H) v. Hawaii +17 (long way to come to improved bama team)
Penn St. (H) v. Akron +17 (Is Joe Pa's team as good as last yr.?)

Anybody wanna break down the Fla. St.- Miami game? Home team Canes are giving 3 on my card. I like the canes here.

Only thing about the Canes is their #1 receiver and running back are suspended...FSU is returning a pretty good D, if they can stop Olsen the Canes could be in trouble.

Personally, I wouldn't touch that Cal game with a 10 foot pole. I do like Akron to with the points only because PSU's attack will be much threw the air and they're calling for rain from 3pm on that day in Happy Valley. I'd be real intersted in the under in that game.

One that I like

Rutgers v. NC (H) -5.5 ( I think Rutgers can win straight up)

My two cents probably is only worth about .2 cents so plan accordingly.

I love Florida State this week....

More to come tomorrow as we are going to start a rendition of Scav's Sports plays of the weekend, kinda like Scav's Sequence of the week, gonna start with a 500 unit bankroll total (NCAA and NFL)

look for MIAMI to cover easily, close to lock status for me
I love BAMA but we never cover, take HAWAII
Fulmer wants to prove last year was a fluke, fact is, it wasn't
take CAL
UofL can score at will, they'll beat UK by a country mile
UVA at home, I suppose, it's not one of my top choices
Akron take them, and the points

use UTEP if you can tonight

take UK and the points at home. this is usually a pretty entertaining game for opening weekend and UK will STILL be at full strength.

cal @ ut- hold your nose and pick one. i'm as SEC as it gets but who knows what those headcases at UcheaT are gonna play like even at home.

take uva. at home. the cavs coaching staff is pretty consistent. pitt staff is still learning.

I LOVE my Crimson Tide but!, take hawaii and the points. hawaii has 9 offensive starters coming back AND Bama LOST 9 defensive starters.

think i'd take akron and the points. psu lost some 5th year seniors, so they'll have leadership questions.

college football is here!! thank goodness!!..... ROLLLL TIDE!!!
