Dublin is supposed to come back at Gulfstream... Races like the Donn have been mentioned.
Last I read on Take Control was he is working back, and it should be soon. The problem is, that was like 6 weeks ago.

Are you back?
Gulfstream for Dublin. DWL thinks he is the best older horse in the world next year.

And Mine That Bird was what they had in mind when they started breeding horses.

thanks for the info. i think dublin has a chance to do well next year

Dublin needs to run in a straight line. Yes he has talent.

The division is not that deep. QR is def all done, Im not sure what Blames plans are. Hopefully Lukas can get him right, he HAS TALENT.

Call me crazy, but I'm a bit skeptical of anything DWL says. Didn't Dublin just prove to be a hanger during his 3-year old campaign, and regress as the spring went on?

NTamm1215 10-14-2010 11:22 AM

I was a big Dublin fan coming into this year and he was atrocious. Of course DWL will talk a big game with him, why not?

If Lookin at Lucky comes back, which is not a definite, he'll be the leader of the division by a mile.

I thought the horse that beat Conveyance in New Mexico had a bit of upside.

Kasept 10-14-2010 11:26 AM

If left alone and ever allowed to feel good, he can fulfill his promise. If you saw what went on at Churchill leading up to Derby, you would appreciate that Dublin hung in as sophomore as well could be expected. He has to have an iron constitution to have kept performing in the afternoons the way he did, given the unending demands put on him seemingly every morning.

If there's one guy I trust to make a good 3-year-old into a great older horse, it is Lukas.

Endorsement?

slotdirt 10-14-2010 11:57 AM

Endorsement was the hot Derby horse until he got injured, IIRC, during Derby week.

Dublin clearly has issues, but the horse has guts. Anything better than breaking into the outrider in Baltimore, and I'm positive he ends up with a piece.

What went on? I don't remember seeing him work more than any other horse.
