I don't drink beer often. But when I do, I prefer Dos Equis

Had Repole on ATR today and mentioned this news to him... Do you think the Dos Equis marketing people are even aware of 'Stay Thirsty'?

Was UPS aware of Big Brown before the Florida Derby? Probably not.

They should put a few Mexicans in the infield and see if they can get past the fence.

You are thinking Pimlico again.

One of the best beers I've ever had was Dos Equis, IN Mexico, about 20 years ago.

Unfiltered, unheated, unpasteurized, it was a whole lot different than the piss that's sold here.

Oh well.

Cool story bro.

Side note: How bad will the numbers be if Team Chicken S.hit ducks?

Yeah, I was just reminiscing.

And agreeing with you.

And lamenting the fact that Mexican beers, at least in the past, were all tons better in Mexico than the piss we get here.

They were actually... Remember Paul Pompa is one of their largest contractors.

Horse piss is horse piss. You just like it fresh.

Which makes me wonder what Stay Thirsty's owners were thinking when he was named:D. I prefer XXX Dos Equis, but it's pretty hard to find here.

I hear ya, I mean more on a national level. After a maiden breaking score at Toga , the horse wasn't seen again till March I think so there wasn't really a groundswell.

I'm sure the Stay Thirsty gang can only hope for the kind of success Big Brown had...and maybe a longer career.

OldDog 10-14-2010 09:15 AM

Dos Equis is alright. I like the "Stay Thirsty" connection.

I would have liked seeing these folks named instead:
