Can someone please explain this?

There are two horses in the changes for today's 7th at Belmont.
The 9, Thoth is listed as a gelding, which is self explanatory.
The 5, Newport is listed as a colt, which I don't get.
What was he before?

Do they erroneously have him listed as a gelding in the past performances?

I think he is listed as a ridgling...which I guess he is not.

:D Think it was intended for the '10/2 should be great' thread...

I hope that ridgling to colt angle works

Thanks. I was hoping it wasn't some bizzare equine sex change operation.

OK.

I think the board would be far more entertaining if people always posted their responses in the wrong thread ( you know...the way PG does ).

I always thought PG posted the wrong responses in the right thread, but you may have a point.
