Wanna know what is wrong with this game? (UPDATE: Good luck Gondorf!)

Here is one thing specific to Arlington Park. I was just at the Racing Office as we entered Gondorf today in a MSW on the lawn.

They passed on this race, which had 10 horses in it, and another 'higher purse' race with 10 horses in it, to use 2 races that had FOUR horses in there, saying they will use it with 6.

Cherish every start you can get, because even when your horse is doing good, you enter the horse, the race gets a FULL FIELD, they still won't use the f'n race.

Handle for a 6 horse race just has to be more then a 10 horse race? Handle is how racetracks make money right?

LOL

Not really.

Did they bring it back as an extra? Maybe they think they will have a hard time filling the card tomorrow so they need to keep a 10 horse field race to use tomorrow.

They have a hard time every day. It was brought back, for the 2nd day in a row.

Just gross Tom. Agreed

Call me crazy, but a racing office is not going to ditch a 10-horse field on turf unless they have a good reason to do so.

clyde 09-15-2010 07:48 PM

A salient point,Crazy.

They should shut down for a few years. The cheesy post-time video convinced me that taking some time off would be good for everyone.

As a follow up, they used the race the next day (for today), so Best of Luck and Safe Trip to Gondorf!

Good Luck Gondorf!

I like Habersham's thought on this. The racing office has a tough job, so anytime someone can come up with a legitimate thought as to why something we can't understand happens, I have learned to appreciate it. Maybe it had something to do with weather and/or turf comditions as well?

Anyhow, you are in, let's get the money!
