Traditional 4 weeks lie ahead at the Spa starting today with Sword Dancer, Alabama, Travers/Personmal Ensign and Labor Day Closing extravaganza yet to come. Had lots of winners scattered around Monday but was doomed by bad ticket building decisions. Hope you did OK... Nice morning in the Capital District and a quirky and seemingly challenging afternoon of racing looms. And don't forget that Del Mar has a $178k carryover that begins at 6pm ET.

Start of a card that features many deep and tricky races, with this one among them. As usual in a turf sprint (and non-winners of 2 lifetimes), can make a case for 7-8 of these, so settle on a race flow scenario that is plausible and include the price horses that can make it pay for you. Note that 2-1 ML fave Flying Sappho (7yo) has NOT improved for Rudy Rodriguez in her two starts under his helm. Should be respected but not feared..

Most Likely: #7 One Note Samba 5-2: Of speeds, best shot with repeat of last.. 2nd

Exotics Use: #4 Audies Champ 20-1: Will try him again after good 3rd at 23-1.. 5th

Ex Pat was on my radar following his last race Steve. But "sod hop" makes it too much of a crapshoot for me to play with confidence.

Rick cought a bomb on the turf on Sunday.

I did see that.

If it makes you feel better, I think the race is a total spread. I kinda like Andy's 10 a little, and Im covering Rick V....

I feel like a new man.

Please double check the 6th race, Real Rooster is the #8, not nine as you have listed, also in the P4 ticket.
