Wasted Tears To Cali

Great story behind this mare. Don't know if Evans has been on ATR but he sounds like my kind of guy.

I was looking at the nomination PPs this morning and it seems as though she would have a distinct pace advantage in that race. Only question is if the 9f is too far, but without pace pressure it might not matter this time around.

Also, the La Jolla for 3yo turf horses is coming up to be a very competitive race. The principals are Sidney's Candy, Twirling Candy, and well-hyped Golden Itiz, but Kid Edward, who makes his stakes debut, has a lot of buzz behind him.

I wonder how firm the turf courses she's been on are but with temps the way they are at DMR maybe it won't be that hard after all.

WAY TO GO. Congrats to Evans. Awesome mare. Tries so freaking hard on the front end.

According to capper Jeromy Plonk, none of the 13 stakes winners at Del Mar going 1-1/8 miles on turf since 2007 has raced on the lead so very impressive indeed.
