I'm considering a trip to Hong Kong Dec 22 - Dec 30 ( approx )

couple questions:

is there live racing during this time?

any advise, thoughts on traveling to Hong Kong as a US citizen? I hear it is one of the safest places to travel.

If you were able to rearrange travel dates for a couple of weeks earlier, you'd be in Hong Kong for the biggest day of the HK racing year.

The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International meeting is held on a Sunday in the middle of the month. The exact date will be announced soon but it'll either be on the 12th or 19th (90% it'll be on the 12th).

The schedule is finally up...

Racing is usually Wednesday at Happy Valley and Sunday at Sha Tin but because of the holiday it will be on Thursday the 23rd at Happy Valley and Monday the 27th at Sha Tin.

I leave Saturday ( Dec. 18 - 28 ). Any thoughts, suggestions, or advise on the racetracks or the city in general is appreciated.
