ah, delicious irony..

Taliban Commander Accidentally Kills Himself

Irshad Khan, a Taliban commander suspected of organizing several attacks on Pakistani soldiers, accidentally killed himself and his assistant when a bomb the pair was attempting to assemble blew up, according to Pakistani officials. "Several of Khan's family were wounded when the device exploded at his home in the Bajaur tribal region of north-western Pakistan," the BBC reported. That according to Syed Ghafoor, a local official who also said that Khan maintained contacts with top Taliban leaders in nearby South and North Waziristan, the Washington Post reported. "The military has twice declared victory against militants in Bajaur over the past 18 months, but attacks continue," according to the BBC.
