Top 10 wins by a female against males in racing since 2005

10.) Rachel Alexandra wins the Preakness. Derby winner Mine That Bird gets the pace setup of a lifetime while RA is forced to deal with pace pressure from very fast sprinter Big Drama in a race where all the other speed collapsed.

9.) Vodka becomes the first female to win the Japan Cup in over 20 years. Two time BC Turf winner Conduit could manage only a 4th place finish.

8.) Zenyatta takes the BC Rubber Classic on her home court from the best turf horse in the East Gio Ponti. The only sound Euro in the race finishes 3rd.

7.) Rachel Alexandra wins the Woodward despite vicious fractions. 3 year old fillies taking down older males in a Grade 1 route on dirt is like insane ... too bad the older males sucked beyond belief .. and would have all been drowned without such a lovely pace setup.

6.) Goldikova wins her 2nd Breeders Cup Mile in a row.

5.) Rachel Alexandra easily wins the Haskell over next out Travers and JCGC winner Summer Bird and runs a record Haskell Beyer.

4.) Rags to Riches wins the Belmont over Curlin and Hard Spun .. the eventual 1-2 finishers in that years BC Classic. First female to win the race in a century and all that. Had to overcome a stumble. etc.

3.) Makybe Diva wins her 3rd straight Melbourne Cup. Under co-highweight of 128lbs - she beat a field of 24 horses - some Male horse who finished 2nd to her carried 16lbs less. A pretty big weight break going 2 miles. They've run the race since 1861 and no horse had ever won it 3 times - and only 4 other horses had ever won the race more than once. It's also supposed to be the most important race in that country .. but who really knows or cares. The field size was also 24 in her 2nd Melbourne cup win and 23 in her first win.

2.) Zarkava wins the Arc as a 3yo filly to complete a perfect career. She beat Goldikova twice - and once at her best distance of a mile. She beat Dar Ra Me at her best distance. After that she won the Arc. I'm probably overrating this race .. but whatever.

1.) Linda Rice wins Saratoga training title. Pletcher, Mott, and Asmussen checked in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ... leading one to ask 'how many fucl<ing Ny Breds and turf sprinters can one bitch have?'

The eightsome of Bruce Levine (1-for-48) Shug (1-for-21) Baffert (1-for-12) Allen Jerkens (0-for-28) Rusty Arnold (0-for-29) John Terronova (0-for-22) Mike Matz (0-for-15) and Mike Trombetta (23-0-0-2) finished a mere 17 wins behind her.

It's impossible to compare and rate stuff like that. I was just waiting for Saratoga to come around so I could post it to annoy Sightseek.
