I wonder if the horse was ever considered for F & M races?

I seem to remember a pacer or trotter being DQ'd after it was determined that the horse was a hermaphrodite instead of a filly.

T.D. Thornton's excellent book about Suffolk Downs, "Not by a Longshot", has a story about a mixed sex horse causing a stir on the backstretch at East Boston...

What is the official ruling? Run in male or female races? (I'm serious)

Maybe Calder can add a hermaphrodite only race onto their gimmicky card. I don't know if they still do that, like the grey only race?
