had tvg on a few minutes ago, the three on there were all saying they expect that bluegrass cat didn't show his best, and will improve off his haskell performance. if that is so, that's scary! his haskell was his personal best, a better showing today....wow.

ya gotta respect what he's done this year and he still has upside. one of the greatest Storm Cat routers ever, right there with Giants Causeway. and Bernardini may bounce.

it's bluegrass cats second off a layoff....and bernardini hasn't had his usual ten weeks off.

hell, bernardini may win easy, but i'm not as confident as some about the race. he's not a given here. esp when you read comments from trainers about how the track has been playing the last few weeks, speed hasn't been holding--which fits in better for bgc. and then his trainer has been cold lately. and then there's the cats biggest weapon, his trainer.

this race isn't cut and dried...

if bernardini wins it, he's going to get that much more respect from me. this IMO is his biggest test to date.

but even if he wins it, depending on the ease....he's still no shoo-in against older. so many seem to ignore the fate of other 3 yo's over the years when they step up to open comp.

.

Same from here. People keep knocking Lava Dude for the horses he's beaten, but look at who's been third in Bernadini's last 2 races - that world-beater Hemingway's Key <sarcasm intended>. If he beats Bluegrass Cat as comprehensively, then we'll know he's a cut above.

lol @ lava dude.

i appreciate why they're probably taking him to the hirsch in his next, but i really like the tin man....darnit.

a lava dude/tin dude ex?
