What an EMBARRASSING day for TBRED racing

Thursday, early July, and there's ONE MAJOR track running (not counting AP as a major).

And that one, BEL, starts us off with a 5 horse field of lower level claimers.

I really need to see about getting a fulltime job.

Have you considered something in the customer service field?

I forgot to mention that the 2nd race is a 2 year maiden event.

It's easy for you, Bro, you play a single track.

It's too hot for the horses . Customer service is usually air conditioned unless the power cuts out .

Which it usually does in India.

APs not a major track?

Dahoss 07-08-2010 01:13 PM

Why isn't Woodbine running?

Thats ignorant. I think Hollywood counts as a major race track.

Coach Pants 07-08-2010 03:12 PM

Don't worry...Ellis opens on Saturday.

My point was they have cancelled a weekday card already- not weather related- because of inability to fill a card. So should they be running today?

I also mentioned them because not sure who else could be considered major

Yes they should be running and cant because of the sad state of horse racing, think that was the point of the OP (not saying I agree with it)

Woodbine is dark today as they opened on Good Friday this year. They are also dark on July 29, Sept. 2, and Oct. 7 due to Holidays the following Monday.

What an embarrassing year (2009) for t-bred racing …

Something called Mine That Bird takes the Derby.

3yo division so bad that a filly is able to hang on in the Preak.

Handicap division sets new record for horribleness.

Take away top one and 3yo filly division arguably the worst in the sport’s history.

Overrated young filly crowned hoty.

Brutal…

Looks like it's QR's to lose at this point (which I hope he does, btw)

Really all about the BCC for Z

Odds are clearly against her … but it would be incredible if she can throw a Tiznow at the great race…

For someone who says they don't care about it, there you go mentioning it again.........

I am impressed at how some Zenyatta fans can turn literally any thread into a 2009 horse of the year referendum.

i guess the year of curlin, street sense, etc was a horrible year as well...a filly managed to win that belmont.

the reference last year to a bad handicap division must be spot on-except SO forgot to mention a mare won the classic. absolutely brutal!! if the colts were good, no way she'd have won.

right?

They are also trolling at a Tony Awards forum.
