Unbridled Danger

Sad seeing this horse break out of the gate in which used to be a major race that the top connections with quality flesh would point to faithfully. Not that this group did not have some quality involved but just seeing him entered was what we may be in store for at Saratoga that we have not seen for quite some time.

Top outfits are running their stock at Monmouth and the I would have to believe that the we will see some tired horses show up at Saratoga that normally would be training and pointing to the Saratoga meet.

Unbridled Danger?

I will be trackside in the early hours to see Rachel gallop tomorrow morning at the Oklahoma. Will report what I see after some feel she is not the same for choosing Monmouth instead of Saratoga? I have a feeling she is in top form and is strictly picking the spots that will continue to build up to the ultimate goal of the Breeders Cup. Smart maybe? Are we deprived...Yes.

SCat Daddy...HAPPY 4TH all !!!!!

unbridled danger = hobby horse..literally

I have watched this horse for ages..since Contessa got rid of him after having high hopes and dealing with the horses bad bad bad gate habits

robert young has trained him since and uses him as a check cashing macine ..running him protected with no shot of winning but at a level to just cash a minor award usually 4th for 1400 dollars..

In the race you refer to he was assured of 3000 for just entering

this horse does fill a lot of races for ny secretary as evidenced by the greys only condition run at Aqueduct last winter.(which he somehow lost but then popped up and won his next race).

The point is this is the only horse this trainer has and he seems to be only pointing the horse for minor awards. He makes money for him which is the point of the game..Mr young just has a different idea of money.

It apppears he loves the game and is able to stay solvent with this horse.

this is further evidenced by his refusal to ever ever put the horse in a claiming race

It takes all kinds

Point: He did not deserve to be in this race period regardless of your nice comments about Mr. Young. What is next the Woodward?

If he qualifies..

and is guaranteed apurse I wouldnt be surprised..

speaks to the lack of horses around

The mighty one returns after last week's Suburban grade 2 to get overhauled in an exciting version of 28k starter allowance by the mighty Eltish Star. Now an eye popping 0 for 33 at Belmont.

I was thinking about you when this race was running. You have to say-You were a little nervous at the top of the stretch. No?

Not with a 0/32 record at Belmont.

If we had more horses around like him the sport would be in much better shape.

Linny 07-12-2010 11:21 AM

This horse is probably the most heavily raced and longest lasting offspring of Unbridled's Song. He's clearly well looked after. Several races at each NYRA meet would fail to go if this guy was not around.

Huh? Disagree that this horse holds the races together...puhhllleezzz...but he does remind me a little of Cutlass Reality...

Linny 07-12-2010 02:08 PM

Going back to April 18th, he has run 8 times. The field size for those races were 6,7,7,7,5,7,6,6. One of the "7's" was the Suburban. But for one, the rest were low priced starters. The racing office knows they can count on Young to run this horse and they call him when they need to fill races. Had they been fearful of a scratch or to brining Sunday's field down to 5 or even 4, they knew they could count on Unbridled Danger to go in the gate if he had all 4 legs attached.
