That deserves its own thread. Very impressive effort tonight at Prairie Meadows breaking the track and stakes records in 1:07.24.

I crushed it!

Indian Charlie 06-25-2010 10:10 PM

The question is, how long until this horse gets jinxed?

philcski 06-25-2010 10:11 PM

That was a super impressive performance. Not that far off of the all time 6F record. The number may not come up as high as you might think though, since Secret Gypsy (who is capable of a big performance) went 1:08 1/5.

I tried to warn you guys. . .

See my post at about the same time. I got a little lucky that they pounded Atta Boy Roy in the win pool so all I played was an exacta box of those two. $18.80 isn't going to pay the bills but it's something.

Is this the same horse that came to CA for 2 or 3 sprint stakes a couple of years ago and got his head handed to him each time? If it is, I don't recall him being a speed horse.

No, this horse is 4YO but had only made 4 starts prior to tonight's race. He debuted at FG and then moved to CD where he won two allowance races earning 100+ BSFs in both.

Nope.

4yo Harlans Holiday colt bought by Padua for 375k. Debuted in January this year in what has been his only loss. He's now won 4 in a row.

The Indomitable DrugS 06-25-2010 11:50 PM

He was actually RNA'd for 25K as a yearling before selling for 370K at age 2.

He had a nice 10.20 unblinkered preview more than two years ago.

Took him forever to make the races.

Satish Sanan always has classy names for his horses

You and Satish! You should have heard him on ATR Tuesday. "He won't lose," he said matter-of-factly. And he expects a big effort from the similarly late-developing Strasbourg in the LeVine (PHA) today too. Already a good week for Padua as they got a nice MSW win from Monsignor Wednesday (89 BSF). The comment line for last night's win is 'Never roused'.

1 for 2 is never bad.

hockey2315 06-26-2010 09:14 AM

117 Beyer

hockey2315 06-27-2010 12:45 AM

Hellllloooooo I said 117

Indian Charlie 06-27-2010 01:38 AM

I don't think your first attempt showed up.

That, and anything under 118 is not worth noting.

Trivia - name the half siblings who both ran a Beyer of 117 or better sprinting.
