I have the #2 PICK in the draft

Who would you guys take and why - 1 of the top 3 will be gone , but not sure who the guy in front of me will take

My personal preferance is to get Alexander

You can't go wrong with any of the top 3 imo! I've drafted about 50 leagues so far (yes, I need a real life) and LJ and Alexander are about 50-50 at number one with LT being picked first a couple times and Manning once. Personally (and keep in mind...big Penn State fan), I like LJ the best but Alexander's numbers are simply unreal! LT could suffer a bit with Rivers...or he could become even more the go-to-guy! Manning is defendable in a 10 team league but here...I'd stick with a back! I'm worried that Barber will go 4th and I sit at number 5 with Manning available...real difficult for me if so!

should i try to get a back in rd 2 (23rd pick) or should i gamble and try to get a receiver?

Another tough call but generally speaking, you'll want a back! Remember there are 2 RB positions and a W/R position to fill in your starting lineup, while it's true you can use a WR to fill it (thus needing 4 wr's), backs usually score better. I add a point per reception and that helps the WR's somewhat but a well-rounded back takes advantage of that too! So...if everybody wants to use 3 RB's in their starting lineup...that's 36 backs...each team starts one in the NFL, a few teams have more than one usable back...New Orleans with Deuce and Bush for example but pickin's are scarce! WR's? Well every team has at least two that are usable and many have three so it's a numbers game!

I'd say go off the charts and chose Randy Moss or Reggie Bush. I do pretty well in fantasy leagues and my philosophy has always been to take the best player available. I think that's one of those or Michael Vick but Vick is a real reach that high. If u want to be more traditional, take LJ or Peyton Manning.

As I said, I've drafted a lot of leagues so far...Vick NEVER goes before the 10th round and sometimes is a last round pick-up! Moss should go in the 3rd under this setup, Bush...5th or 6th unless there is an absolute run on rb"s.

In any event, 7 minutes till draft...good luck to all participating!
