Safe trip Tony!
3 MTP & 2-1... LOL.. |
Chased outside and tired to 6th. :wf
Let's see what Tony has to say. |
Not to alarm, but Kickin having a bit of a heat stroke episode post-race... (97 degrees there)... More after from Chuck.
too late, I'm alarmed
:( Hope she doesn't have to run in opressive heat again, she's our best horse.
thanks for the update steve - am sorry to hear, but guess am not surprised considering the mix of heat and humidity added to her temperament to begin with, hope they're able to get her cooled off and rehydrated without any serious issues damn... :(
Kickin is currently asleep in her stall and OK. After being iced and hosed down and given fluids, vet provided a tranquilizer to calm her down. Will check back later but she appears past the incident.
Tony told Chuck that she was very keyed up and ready to go and moving great onto the backstretch when her breathing started to labor. He backed off her down the stretch and galloped her home but past the wire she started to wobble as if she was going to go down. As Chuck said after, not a good day to run a neurotic horse... |
Glad to hear. Thanks for the update.
Poor thing. Glad she's OK.
Hope she is ok, today was a tough day with that heat and humidity.
she looked keen early, was surprised to see her back up like she did...hope she comes out of this no worse for the wear.
Hope all is well. Please keep us posted.
At least she's not here for the fireworks this year. Always felt bad watching her do circles around the stall on July 3rd.
Any updates?
How is she today?
