BC 'Special Announcement' at Churchill Friday
NEW YORK (June 10, 2010) – Breeders’ Cup CEO Greg Avioli and Chairman Bill Farish will be joined by Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and Churchill Downs executives Bob Evans and Kevin Flanery on Friday morning to make a special Breeders’ Cup announcement.

Guess the Courier Journal sent a message to a woman I work with and said BC is at Churchill in 2011. Pretty exciting that we get back to back dirt BC's! very good news.

I'm sorry but its a sin that CD and SA have had 2 each in the last few years and BEL's last was in 2005.

You have one track in N Ca where a 6 horse field is huge You have one track in S Ca that is on the clock You have a track that is owned by a guy that has blown close to a billion dollars with his mismanagement of racetracks you have Del Mar purses at hollywood casino at penn national are higher than those at hollywood park. the best racing organization is track-less there is virtually zero chance that help is coming from sacramento Ky has Kee which is doing fine CD just raised purses 10% and has a dirt track TP and ellis are crap but have always been pretty crappy Despite all the political bs at least there are forces that may get the game some help in the near future. In no way is KY doing great but how could you think they are in worse shape than CA? |
I guess I fail to see how KY was a better choice than NY considering CD has it this year. It should never be in the same place back to back.
