Don't Ask Repeal Bill

I can't disagree with the Democrats on this issue. It is about time, hope this gets done.

Passes out of Senate Committee. House votes tonight. Homophobic GOP will try and block it, headed by John McCain. Will pass. It's a start :tro:

I agree again. In fact seeing how the muslim countries feel about the don't tell side, gays would be more effective especially in POW situations and uncircumsised females. IMO

In the House, Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Pa., was expected to introduce the legislation as an amendment to the defense authorization bill.

While Murphy said he had enough votes to pass it, some lawmakers — including Democratic Rep. Gene Taylor of Mississippi — threatened to pull their support from the entire defense bill if it did.

no doubt he's a closet republican.

McCain and other lawmakers, including some Democrats, took a similar stand this week and cast doubt on whether the measure would pass. At least one Republican — Sen. Susan Collins of Maine — has said she will support the measure.

The only thing I might suggest is maybe gays should have separate sleeping quarters. I think that would make everyone a lot more comfortable.

I have no problem with gays in the military though and think this should have been allowed legally a long time ago.

To paraphrase the tagline from "Jaws 2"...

"Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the barracks shower..."

Yeah and pink camouflage.

They shouldn't segregate them. That's ridiculous.

Why is it that breeders think that gays are going to assult them in the night ? Its laughable , do female military persons think that the men are going to come and assult them in the night when they are dug into a hole in the middle of nowhere? If anything the homo's might feel like the macho men in the unit might come beat the crap outta of them in their sleep.
The English and I hate to use them as an example but they have out homo's in their military and hmmm dont read anything about it being a big deal , so maybe its just American men who are a lil insecure because they know how men are.

When the sh!t hits the fan, no one's thinking about anything but sh!t.

they don't have separate quarters now, and i don't know of any statistics showing more assaults on those poor straight guys from the rampaging gays in their midst then there were in the good old days.
