Landis Spills On Armstrong

of course they both doped. its cycling. they all do it. no way armstrong was winning every year and he was the only guy clean.. but everyone else was doping. armstrong has been through a lot, and raises a ton of awareness and money for a great cause.. but I've always questioned his character.

I'm no fan of phonies. Armstrong is one.

What we already knew:

1. Most Cyclists dope
2. Most Cyclists don't get caught
3. Floyd got caught
4. Floyd's appeals and his lawsuits professing his innocence have all been denied or tossed out of court.

What we learned today:

1. Floyd Landis is bitter that he got caught and is trying to bring others down with him as he is flushed into obscurity.

I've always thought Armstrong doped; I also always thought he was just that much better than the rest of the guys riding the Tour. It wasn't like his chemist was that much superior to any other.

landis and his team were turned down in their request to ride in this week's tour of california.

prior to that, he had emailed threats to amgen (the sponsor) and aeg (the organizer) to make embarrassing disclosures about doping.

this is a guy who collected $1.5 million in donations to defend himself against doping allegations. something he's categorically denied until just this week. he's also admitted while making these current allegations that he has no other evidence. there won't be any follow up documentation. it's the same allegations that other's made in the past, without proof.

cycling has a doping problem. no question.

but floyd landis is no jose conseco.

Landis fingered Armstrong. I seen't it.

Is Amgen really a cycling sponsor? LOL! How ironic.

Until someone can prove to me Barry Bonds or Roger Clemens really used steroids, I won't believe Lance Armstrong doped.

I'd REALLY like to believe lance is clean, he's just that much better than everyone else. he's the most tested rider and has no positive tests. i'd like to think that the chemo and radiation he went through turned him into a monster on a bike.:o
