Surprised he isn't up for the tag, some loaded horses in this race, always personally been high on Rumspringa

How many times is Saint Daimon going to run at Toga, 15?

Going Wild, in my mind, is the absolute poster child for a horse that never should have been entered in a single Triple Crown race. He could have made a useful sprinter.

I can't agree more, miler even. I liked this horse a lot, and I don't remember one ever being so mismanaged.

Gander 08-23-2006 03:41 PM

So is Keyed Entry. He got ruined.

slotdirt 08-23-2006 03:42 PM

Who is our resident D. Wayne hater?

slotdirt 08-23-2006 03:43 PM

I don't know, jury's still out on Keyed Entry. Going Wild was running in goofy sprints towards the end of last summer against horses who hadn't run in the Derby and the Preakness. I mean, seriously, what was it about last year's Derby that made his connections decide the Preakness was a good idea for Going Wild?

At least with Keyed Entry, they've given him a rest after that horrid stop job at the Derby.

zippyneedsawin 08-23-2006 03:44 PM

If he's ready to run Friday, I'm surprised Godolphin didn't just toss him in the Travers.(not saying that would be wise, just saying I wouldn't have been surprised if they did)

Gander 08-23-2006 03:46 PM

Yes but Keyed Entry could have already won a grade 1 sprint by now. Or at least been competitive in one. No excuse for running him in the Derby. Poor form by the connections.

Coin Silver, Defer, High Finance, Aristocrat, and a few others all make appearances on Saturday.

You are a smart man. Rumspringa is a monster. He will win this race.

slotdirt 08-23-2006 04:01 PM

I do love that ignore feature.

Scav 08-23-2006 04:06 PM

I am going to have to win some money on Full Tilt tonight so I can piss it away on Saturday Travers Card..Political Force is in too, another Jerkens money eater that I can never get right. I compare this mule to Saint Daimen, play him, runs 5th, don't play him, stick it in the kazoo

Gander 08-23-2006 04:09 PM

Political Force ran in the race Discreet Cat won last year on Travers Day. Hes afunny animal to figure out.

Scav 08-23-2006 04:18 PM

yeah, then on the day before the Breeder's Cup he was a FAST closing 2nd to Bluegrass Cat, who I didn't have on the pick four that was paying upteen millions

i gotta agree. they just could not resist the KD fever. kinda like saying no to Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cup. pretty tough to do.

same thing for Sinister Minister. the connection succumbed to Derby Fever too.

I am going to laugh and assume that was for me. Funny coming from a guy who knows less about horses than I did when I was 12.

You see moron, you can't say you love an ignore feature and then respond. That means that you are not ignoring it. Understand simpleton?
