Well we'll see who else picks up the story. NE's been right mucho more times than they've been wrong.

I hope for the nation's sake that it's not true. He's got enough on his plate right now.

But, IF it's true... emphasis on the word IF, will any of you who love him so feel any differently? Doubtful. It'll be more of the same of when Bubba was getting BJ's in his private office just off the Oval Office. Water off a duck's back.

At least it's not a guy like the GOP seems to favor lately...

Oh, that's a good reason to dismiss the story.

I REALLY don't want this to be true. There's nothing positive to come of it - just a major distraction from the major problems with which he has to deal.

The National Enquirer?

Timmig? You may now kiss the bride!

Princess Doreen 05-01-2010 11:47 AM

NE broke both Edwards and Woods story. They're going for a tri-fecta.
Beside, this was something that was suppoed to have happened in 2004.

I guess Super Saver's as good as any. Thank you for your interest in my opinion. Enjoyable day to you, as well.

this sounds remarkably like what was said when the john edwards story first broke about rielle hunter. national enquirer laughed last on that one. i can't believe he'd be so dumb, but we see stuff like this happen all the time, so i don't know why it continues to surprise. men will seemingly throw away so much for some poo-nannie. large egoes, they think they're so damn smart, that they can commit the perfect crime. anyone remember gary hart running his mouth??

hi_im_god 05-01-2010 01:09 PM

along with paying sources for information that helped them correctly break the edwards and woods stories, the inquirer has also had to settle claims arising from false stories about kidnap victim elizabeth smart's family and former congressman gary condit.

you have to give them credit for evenhandedness as they also reported in 2005 that george bush was drinking and acting erratically. a story that was essentially about a rumor. probably embraced by his opponents as heartily as this one is by obama's.

note how carefully worded this "story" is. there is no allegation of an affair. just that gop operatives are willing to pay $1,000,000 for information and that a limo driver states he drove this women to a hotel where obama stayed.

myself i can't imagine any reason a female staffer would be driven to a meeting with a candidate unless it was sex. no way they discussed business. the fact that john edwards had an affair proves beyond any doubt that all politicians with female staffers are having sex with them. but like republicans, i'm obsessed with sex.

good luck with this. until there's more i put it in the birther, secret muslim category.

Just remember to call the suicide hotline if it's true, Spinderella.

Just my two cents...I won't feel any differently because it's his private life. I don't feel any differently towards Tiger and I don't feel any differently towards Bill Clinton. A person's private life and behavior is not really any of my business unless there's some significant hypocrisy involved in it, ie people supporting the "war on drugs" and getting caught doing cocaine, people voting against gay rights/marriage while having secret liaisons with same sex folks, etc.

Outside of things like that, if someone is unfaithful, that's between them and their spouse as far as I'm concerned and not an ounce of my business.

i'll be fine coach.

you may need to comfort doreen who posts the unsubstantiated rumor but then wrings her hands hoping it isn't true.

lol

i do agree with brian, it really isn't anyone's business but barrack and his wife. reminds me of the old snl sketch with the founding fathers...

i agree with this. Eliot Spitzer is the biggest hypocrite-scumbag that comes to mind.

hi_im_god 05-02-2010 10:27 AM

i agree with brian, also.

that said, there is nothing to this story. zero.

i'm sure that won't stop it from getting repeated on right wing blogs ad naseum with the occasional spillover here.

it can be another point of resentment against the msm who refuse to report unsubstantiated rumors the right wishes were true.

Yeah, but that story was helped along by John Edwards campaign staff who were aghast the guy seriously thought he could live two lives (Elizabeth and mistress) yet be President of the United States and nothing would come out about it. I give them credit for putting country before their man.

The right is pretty bereft of campaign planks right now. Dropping dollars trolling for mistresses is pretty standard political fare. John McCain was hit with the same during the GOP primary season last election.
