Is Tom still under contract to work for NBC?

I ask this question since his name isn't listed among the broadcasters for the Derby and Preakness.

Mike Battaglia is the announcer for the broadcast.

No way is right....tell me this is a falsehood.

Why would Durkin be listed as a broadcaster when he is the announcer?

My assumption was that Durkin gave up the Breeders Cup spot in 2006, so it would not breach a contract he had with NBC to call the Triple Crown races. If someone can advise that is not the case, I believe he will be doing them.

Kurt Becker called the races at Belmont while Durkin did the TC events. I believe he even did the Oaks, hence "Rachel Alexander"
