She was born female, poor, southern, and black, was a victim of child rape and abuse, but brought herself up and worked to become a powerful billionaire who now completely controls her own destiny.

It seems a lot of this is being questioned, other than being black and from the south.

Bravo on the personal struggle...I'm talking about if you are not a "every woman" and phony and or high maintenance, I don't see how people can't see through her.

it appears he's quoting her relatives......that's pretty telling if your relatives are dissing you.

She gives alot to her audiences (emotionally, gifting, etc), and always treated them well. She's always been very charitable. That's how she got to where she is.

If you say it's fake, in the manner of Jerry Springer or Glenn Beck, doesn't seem to much evidence of it along the way. Could be indeed (nobody ever said Oprah was perfect, there have long been descriptions that she's a diva)

You wondered why women adore her, and it's because she's always respected her audience and treated them very well. She did what they couldn't, or what they aspire to. She knows who her money comes from.

I wouldn't paint too broad a brush. Oprah has long talked about people who are blood-related to her, especially regarding when she first started making lots of money: alot of them, with whom she had little contact with during her life, suddenly came out of the woodwork demanding money.

Just saying that's been the public story for many years now about Oprah.

Not getting in to politics here cause I like staying away from those threads on horsie forums but I have no problem admitting I did get a sick little burst of pleasure when the Olympics were awarded to Rio.

I mean wow, she took time from her busy schedule (you know, curing diseases and building hospital wings) to fly to Copenhagan with that smugass attitude of hers like Chicago had already nailed it and oooopsie!

Made me laugh anyway.

I had to take a break from what I was doing once I found out Rio got the games. I almost fell out of my chair from laughing very hard when I found out. Funny how O'dumbass lied and deceived the American but couldnt do the same thing to the IOC. Funny how O'Dumbass figured Chicago had it in the bag. Bad part was that alot of people who live in Chicago didn't want the Games. Im wondering who paid for the bill for all these fools to go to Copenhagen? Taxpayer's or O'Dumbass and crew. It was awesome to see O'Dumbass go down to a crashing defeat.
