Happy for J.COURT

Think he finally deserves a derby mount but is this the one???

I'm happy for him too, however Sadler is no fool. After today I am even more firmly of the mind (lol) that until the post positions are drawn further speculation is useless. GO CUBS!

Yeah I'm waiting to see which jockeys are trapped outside the top 20 that expected to make it. I'm sure I should have a better angle on who's the regular rider of whom, but I don't. Until then, I don't want to assume Jon's in. I'd be really happy for him if he makes it. I hope in the mad scramble for a Derby mount that he manages to hang on. You can't blame those other riders for doing what they have to, or Sadler for thinking about using one with more Derby experience, but it makes a great story, Jon getting this opportunity. If you believe in Derby gods, Court and Talamo could be in a good position.

Jon Court is one of the good guys in racing today. I couldn't be happier for him. Congrats!!!

No, the pace scenerio is totally against him and the horse should bounce.

I wonder what Sadler meant when he said, (paraphrasing) "well we asked for the lead" did he not like that Jon did quick early fractions. It seemed like that was the difference.

I don't know him but I've been a fan of his since he was at Hoosier. I thought when Pat Day retired Jon would be the man at Churchill. I'll be cheering for him to make it.

I was hoping to leave this alone, but as you have pointed out, Court did exactly what Sadler wanted him to do. And, in the Derby, it will be to make sure he gets the lead and falls on the sword for The Craig Family Trust.

I certainly hope Sadler keeps him on the horse.
