Working on it..

Kasept 04-01-2010 06:57 AM

Posting and visability now seems to be working, but obviously, smooth navigation is not. Stay tuned...

herkhorse 04-01-2010 06:58 AM

Operating at about 40% efficiency I guess... At least we can post/read.

Kasept 04-01-2010 07:31 AM

I think things are improved, but you still have to 'return' back after posting...

Please report issues you're noticing here. Thanks!

Kasept 04-01-2010 07:36 AM

PM system seems to be OK...

For those posting... Your post WILL work but you are directed to a trouble page. Not to worry... Your post is up. Hit 'Refresh' and then 'Derby Trail Forums' to navigate back. A bit cumbersome but gets the job done for now.

We had unwisely never updated the initial vBulletin system softwaresince its' initial installation in May 2005. There are a number of exciting things going on with DT and ATR, and we are be building a new hybrid 'portal' site that I hope will serve everyone's racing interests even better.

sounds good

Stickhorse 04-01-2010 08:32 AM

I thought it was my fault

I won the Race of the Day contest and by doing so I thought I had made the site crash.

Whew, glad it wasn't my fault.

Hard to believe this site could be improved, looking forward to seeing the new features.

Looking forward to the new stuff Steve. I'm sure it will be awesome.

I just hope it is still avalible at work! If it changes to a differnet format it may get snagged by our anti-gambling/chat/blog room stuff. It would suck to not have access during the day!

Kasept 04-01-2010 07:08 PM

Progress being made though not 100% evident... Thank everyone for their patience!

Kasept 04-02-2010 07:22 AM

Progress was made this morning, and have had periods with things operating near normal as update was been manually advanced after the problem.

Please report posting/navigating issues you experience here... Thanks!

"New Posts" button not working.
"Quick Links" "Today's Posts" not working either.
No archives from yesterday.

I access derby trail forums thru a bookmark. When I clicked on the bookmark I got an error message, and refreshed which brought me to "edit my username + password " page... after that it seems fine

robfla 04-02-2010 08:22 AM

I just tried to post the problem I had, which was getting an error message when accessing though a bookmark...got this message twice when trying to post a quick reply...

There seems to have been a problem with the Derby Trail Forums database.
Please try again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, whom you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

robfla 04-02-2010 08:25 AM

well i guess it posted...but it brings you to an error page instead of showing that it posted

tector 04-02-2010 08:29 AM

Hey, it's free--what right do I have to bitch?

But just from being with other sites--at least half the time they were "improved", people hated it.

If it ain't broke....
